Tioman

Island

2 days 2 nites. Is really an island full of tourists from S’pore. There were quite rare to see local on island. Before arrived to

Tioman

Island

, I managed to spend a half day tour in Mersing, Air Papan. Thanks to Twins’ cousins. We had a stroll along Air papan. Is a place suitable for BBQ. However, It was’t in our plan. It will be our next time trip, then. We had to spend 2 ½ hrs on ferry. It really made me felt uncomfortable. I nearly had thrown out. I still doubt the reason I had seasick, as I had taken medicine for anti-dizzy before on board. We reached Salang village, Tioman at 8.30pm. It was dark; we really cannot admire the scenery. We just check –in the

Salang

Beach

resort once we arriving the island. the hotel is owned by Chinese. We stay in Mala chalet. After dis-packaging, we had our dinner at the most crowded place, the salang island resort cafeteria. They served

Malaysia

cuisine and of course, grill seafood too. How can we miss seafood while we are on the island?

After a heavy dinner, we take a stroll along Jetty. The water is crystal clear until we could see the fish swimming. As I found out, most villager and workers favourite night’s pass time is fishing squid. I met few worker and resorts’ staff fishing in the middle of night.

We met few internship workers from S’pore. There r French and Swedish. Instead, we asked them to help us take pictures. We had a UNO time before we went to bed. This was the tiredness game I ever played because we take an hr to finish. Wat a tired day!

Twins would take depart from island at 4.30pm .therefore, C toh n I went for a round island day trip. It cost us 70RM. There are 5 destination spots. Firstly the agency told us there are 9 indian pax on this trip and the trip will started on 10.30 am. At the end, there are 20 pax on boat. There were including 9 Indian, 3 French, 1 Swedish, 3 polish, 2 chinese (C toh n I) and 2 Malay (The boat man). We had to stopped in the middle of the sea to refill petrol. nearly freak out!! I suggested to the boatman, never ever bring 20 pax on boat again. We went to

Paya

Village

,

Juara

Village

, A waterfall, and A spot for snorkeling (opposite Berjaya village). We din go to Marine park as the whole trip is delayed. We spent more time in Paya for lunch n there are some guys performing water jumping at the water fall’s jetty. The whole trip ended at around 6.30pm. After visiting few village, I had to admit (boonHan is right!!)

Salang

Village

is the most crowded and enjoyable village. We went to Nipah village too; this is a village I found out that without a decent Jetty. As for the coral, I dun have the chances to see closer, perhaps will do it next visit. And the coral island trip! It was a splash noon!

We and Polish (Paul, Peter n Martins) had dinner together at the Salang Islang resort Cafetaria. They are a great eater, Especially Peter. He promised he will on diet so no food after 10pm. (good luck to U, boy!) Again, we had a stroll along Jetty. This time we had a culture exchange nearly 2 hrs.  They do really young n energetic guys. They soon will end their exchange program in S’pore and back to

Poland

. They are superb curios to Malaysia Culture. Hope the tutorial C toh n I given is enough to make them understand. Then, C Toh n I had a rest beside the beach.  The weather is cool and breezy as I fell to sleep without any signal. When we prepared to go to bed, Paul knock our door, and ask us if we r willing to play our “UNO”. In fact, they never heard before. I won the first round. Superb honor but lost the coming 3 rounds. Rain started at 1.30am. we squatted at the aisle and continue. The game finished at 3pm. It was an unforgettable Tioman nite, as I promised not goin to play “UNO” with Polish anymore. I still wonder how come they can beat me so easily?! Perhaps I m too tired to play tis game.

We got up at 7am the next morning. We had to collect Shells as we promised this was the penalty. Oh god, there are less shells in

Salang

Village

compare to Air Papan. But there are many dead corals on the beach. We simply collected the most perfect shells and give them as we promised last night. After we had our breakfast, C toh n I had a stroll at the other part of the village. In this morning, (24/11/2006) Malay was celebrating their new year. Shops on the island were closed as celebration was on. We say good bye to salang village at 1.30pm. Resorts on the island will close during November.

We manage to sit at 2nd level, therefore a nicer view can see. Due to hazy weather, the small island at the farer place can not view clearly. was BLUR!! We reach Mersing at 4pm. And I din feel seasick. Therefore, I had to conclude that stay in-side for air-cond wil make u feel dizzy. The nature air will make u feel more comfortable. I manage to reach Muar at 8.30pm. It was a thrilled and excellent trip! For those who are searching for a place to relax,

Tioman

Island

may be able to be your destination!

Quote from Alice ” she’s gone..yet still so near..”

The sky was gray this day, because the haze. My mood is gray too because she’s gone…
Far away…from me.
She has a head of figure.
She is a great cook.
She likes watching Chinese opera.
She is a good mum and a good wife. A best grandma, too.
She likes to share her experience with her grandchildren.
She likes celebrating Chinese festival.
She likes to gather everyone in a place to have meal.
She always gave the best to everyone.
She wants everyone to be good.
She wants harmony and rapport among one and others.
She is considerate, tender, love, nice, and sweet.
This January, I visited her during CNY. She was well, still can walk even had the need help of a holder.
February, the general hospital’s doc told her children. She is bleeding too much blood. However, they dun know the blood where to go. Therefore, they need to do a medical checkup. Start from d-day. She went to hospital in and out continuously. And from that day, she dun even can walk.

Her husband, serve, take care, love her without complaining, even she kept angry with him. Her husband always knew, the lady she loves most had served and cares her for more than 50 year. This is time to take turn. She pleased, because her husband is still beside her.
After 9 months, on 3/10/2006 she’s gone. Gone to far away.
A husband and Eight children accompany besides her.
A bunch of grandchildren praying and blessing for her.
All relatives chanting together.
On 7/10/2006, she rests in peace forever at a nice and scenery place.
I pray for u, grandma. Hope you are fine at the other world.
Meetings for happiness, not miss when apart.
